The season of holiday shopping has begun. Between Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, the message is clear: It's time get out your credit card. As a counter to all of that consumerism, Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 with a mission to “reimagine a world built upon shared humanity and generosity.”

In that spirit, here are a handful of organizations that are making life better for women and girls worldwide.

She’s the First

Over the last 15 years She’s the First has run educational and mentoring programs that have improved the lives of 936,396 girls’ in 62 countries. The organization also trains girls in activism and in how to lead girl-serving organizations. And in 2026, She’s the First is merging with another non-profit in girls education, Girl Rising, to reach even more girls worldwide. 💛 Click here to donate.
